Family Care Center of Catawba Valley, Inc. has been the recipient of several grants recently that will enable the agency to offer shelter and services to homeless families with dependent children.  “We have such a supportive and caring community that offers grants to non-profits that will improve the lives of families in need,” stated Jane Earnest, Executive Director of Family Care Center. “We are so thankful for the support of these area foundations that will truly impact the homeless families we serve,” Earnest continued.  Grants received include the Wells Fargo Foundation for family support; the George Foundation for family needs; the E. Rhodes and Leona Carpenter Foundation for a new HVAC system for our Longview duplex; $ the Unifour Foundation, Inc. Endowment, a component fund of the North Carolina Community Foundation for renovations to our Longview duplex; Piedmont Natural Gas Foundation for replacement bath tubs and the Kulynych Family Foundation in support of our programming.
