Our Plan

Our plan is to increase housing capacity and services, but only as we are able to keep operating costs within our budget. There is room on our Highland Avenue campus for two more duplexes in our first phase, providing service for up to 16 additional families a year. It would also require adding an additional social worker. We have grown ten-fold, servicing up to 70 families per year, with resulting increases in operating costs.

Utilities, insurance, maintenance and all the expenses required to operate increase every year. The burden on our social worker is especially heavy. Our plan to serve more families requires that we continue to generate more income through contributions and other means.

Your participation in helping Family Care Center remain a community resource that is successfully keeping families together and moving them to a better life is vital. We depend on and appeal to you to help Family Care Center achieve its vision of never having to turn away a homeless family.
